Type s lower control arm bent.
Type s lower control arm bent.
I ran over a high curb hard enough to bend the subframe. Usually with most cars that use the a-shaped control arms this type of front end damage would almost guarantee a bent control arm, but since the type -s LCA are only from the center frame mount and the lower ball joint, would the impact likely bend the LCA or more likely that rod that connects from the LCA to the subframe at the front through the cushioned holes?
You are referring to the radius rod. More than likely however, the impact will bend the outer tie rod. The only way to know really is to get an alignment. I would recommend getting a lifetime alignment, because if the problem turns out to be more than just toe, they will not be ablate adjust caster, and you will need to make the repairs and get another alignment. the alignment will also allow others here to better help you.
I asked about the radius rod because I replaced the ball joint, outer tie rod, and end link with no issue but getting the two bolts for that radius arm back into the control arm took a both me and a helper with a large crowbar to pull it into place to get the bolts started. BTW, How much and where did you get a lifetime alignment? Any idea who offers this in ATL area?

to install. Once you get everything dialed in though with an alignment after I think you'll find the effort was well worth it.
