Wow. I have 2004 TL Auto. Full insurance with a $1000 deductible. I am the primary name on the car and my mom is secondary. I put myself on her State Farm Insurance, costs I think $190 a month. I am 21 years old.

You have to define 'full' coverage. A number of companies allow you to chose different coverage levels.

$413/6 months for my 99TL. I'm 35 no tickets (got speeding tick but went to driving school), multi car discount and my insurance is full coverage $100K/$300K with $250 deductible thru AMEX (c/o Costco Insurance). I got a quote from Geico and AAA and they are way too expensive.

You should probably get rid of the TL-S until insurance goes down, get something cheap! You're most likely never going to see any of that money you're putting in, and you could be doing other things with it.

[QUOTE=VITEK487 a month and i got a ticket 3 months ago and waiting for the increase... oh and i am 20[/QUOTE]

Vitek...is it 487/month or 487/6 months. If this is per month, you should get rid of the TLS and buy a new car. I'm paying $415/month for my 03 Ody. With 487/month, you can get a $40K car with a descent APR

2002 TL-S, $675 a year, 31 years old, full coverage/max. liability & $500 deductible. No tickets since I was 21 and never an accident. Erie Insurance through a local insurance broker.

I did look into moving to the Bay Area (Santa Clara) for my job a couple months ago and my insurance would have doubled, so I'm thinking Indiana is the place to be for auto insurance...but that's about it.

in Toronto i am paying about 2500 a full year, and i am not the first driver and clean record

in big cities everyone pays more

and this is already a lower quote, i got quoted double for a G35 coupe, with almost 5000 a yr

even a civic costs 500 more a yr than my TL

Be advised ( I read the fine print): In Canada ( and I suspect we lag a bit behind the states as far as company policy goes) you are not permitted to mod your car with many Insurance companies now. The fine print says you must tell them. After which they will only be too happy to cancel your policy.

Don't tell? = Simple, they won't pay (especially injury damages that you or the other driver suffered)

They all suck socks if you ask me - the best scam going. You pay them faithfully and they pay out the small things (new car, etc.) but if U or Other driver is a quadrapalgic as a result of accident and can't work (rem: no income & lots of bills) they pay you for a little while - then simply cut you off. As I recall, the odds are only 2 out 10 such cases will have the financial support of family members to file a law suit - which doesn't get settled for years down the road and after your family has bankrupt themselves in legal fees. They settle for cents on the dollar minutes before the trial -Its still cheaper for them.

So take your chances and mod away -but if someone you care about is in your car - drive supersafe.

I pay about 575 every 6 months for full coverage. $500 deductable. I have a 2002 Type S, and I am 24. My coverage is pretty good, I don't have the insurance papers in front of me, but It is NOT the state minimum.

I just purchased a 2003 TL-S yesterday in Dallas, TX and got comprehensive coverage (500 deductible and 50/100/50 collision which is twice the state minimum) with Unitrin Ins. Co. on it. I am 35.
I am paying $715 a year. No tickets or accidents on driving record.

Insurance

I have state farm, and pay $300. 00 for six months full coverage on an 02 TL- S .
I am an 51 live in the burbs (solon) low mileage, no claims, no tickets, second car on policy, and have the house on the same. In Ohio State farm lowers the premium when you are accident, and ticket free. Hope to stay that way....

Cool

Well, since I work for an insurance company (no, not an agency, an actual insurance company! 3rd largest in the U.S. btw), I can tell you that one person's price is never going to be the exact same as another's. There are way too many different factors that affect your premium, thousands. Plus, the average person doesn't have a clue what all those coverages and technical terms mean, so chances are you really can't have any idea what they're paying or which exact coverages they have unless you actually look at the declaration page. So, I've decided that since I'm at work anyway, I will provide my insurance expertise to any of my fellow TLers that ask me anything about insurance (no, not quotes, just answer insurance questions). Live online insurance services, free of charge ! No, I'm really not kidding. But anyway, for your entertainment:

Single Male in my 20's
Liability above state minimum
Comprehensive with $0 deductibe (yup, that's right, NO deductibe! )
Additional Custom Parts & Equipment
Roadside Assistance
Few tickets, no accidents
21st Century (funny thing is I work for their major competitor)
$1250 every 6 months (which means $2500/year )

...and, yes, they make bank and 99% of the population will never get that money back.

I stand corrected. Youre absolutley right. However, I was thinking of those drivers that drive "spirited" from time to time & how my the possibility of my car not being "covered" with children in the vehicle. Nonetheless as a general rule - your correct.

None of these numbers mean anything because no one is telling their exact policy. Full tort? Limited tort? 100/300? 15/30? Underinsured? Uninsured? City of registration? Municipality? Number of other vehicles? Number of other people on the policy? Discounts from other forms of insurance? Previous citations? Previous claims? Credit rating?

$70/mo to me might be $300/mo to you simply because of your location and credit rating.
