Question Type S

What is the definition of Type S ? Jaguar also has a Type S. I considered Jaguar once but backed off. I think there is too much Ford in Jaguar including the platform.

And Jaguar is "S-Type". Nothing in common with the Acura "Type-S".

Per Acura (as stated in AutoWeek), the "S" in Type-S is for "Speed" and the "R" in Type-R is for "Racing."

The "Speed" part is interesting considering Acura's conservative image. I always thought it meant "Sport."

Is the use of "Speed" even politically correct?

Hasn't the influx of Ford money and technology resulted in more models of the highest quality in Jag history? I call that progress...
