Post Two-Tone Painted TL

Let me pose a question... Does anyone make a kit that will dress the bottom 1/4 of the sides and bumpers of a TL? I have a black TL and was considering putting dark metallic grey sideskirting around the car - like a lexus (but not trying to look like a lexus). Any thoughts, ideas, or comments...

Done right, it should look classy. Check out my old Legend pictures below. That was a two-tone car.

Only problem is that the TL might not have the sharp transition in the bodywork to make it look right.

Maybe someone can photoshop it so you know what you're in for.

Don't see the picture. Also, Einstien is right, most of the panels blend together therefore not allowing a clean transition between colors. Maybe if there is a wide body kit that goes further for the TL, it maybe a possibility.

I was thinking the same thing!!! I am going to my parent's home in a couple of weeks and their neighbor, which is a friend of mine, owns a paint shop, so I am going to ask him if it would work.

The pictures are well done. I think it looks real good, if that is the kind of thing you like.

Tanner the only reason that TL looks good is because its dropped, on C5's and a kit.

If you painted that car pink it'd still look pretty good.

Another thing to do is have it fade from the black to the gray, instead of being a sharp line of contrast. That would make it look a lot better (although I do lie it now too).

How about just the underbody kit. I think that would look pretty sharp.

Thanks for the Photoshop pics guys! I agree with the guy above me, though, the grey should be darker to avoid a high contrast. Not bad, though...

I agree. Now there is too much contrast between the color on the top and the one on the bottom. If the bottom had been a metallic dark grey (in the picture above), it would have blended in a lot better. Similarly a light silver bottom in a white colored car (WDP), would achieve the same effects in a white car...

just my 2c

Cool

It is a decent way to make your car unique from everyone elses... it doesn't look half bad but I wouldn't do it to my car.
