Question Turning radius for TL vs TLS different, why?

Folks why does a TL-S have a different turning radius then a standard TL?

19.4' vs. 18.4'

I thought the 2 cars suspension were identical. The only difference between the S and non-S was the engine output. Is the suspension different?

Seems kind of weird that a non-S has a tighter turning radius then an S model.

Thoughts? Comments?

Different rims, tires, shocks and stabilizers. The VSA may have something to do with it too.

Ah, I knew about the different size in rims/tires. But that would not effect turning radius.

I did NOT know that the shocks & swaybars were different. What about the springs?

Does anyone know if the ratio on the rack & pinion are just different? And if so, why the change?

Rim Size, Tire Size, shocks, springs and swaybars would not change the turning radius. The rack & pinion would. The question is why the change I guess. And what other suspension differences are there?

Thanks

Springs are different also.

I didn't realize the different turning radius. Has to be in the rack.

With wider and bigger tires in TL-S the steer box was set not to have the wheels turn too much or risking the tires scratching the body.

Hope this helps.

Cheers !!!
