Question Turn signal on side view mirrors

Are there any mods that will give me a turn signal on my side view mirrors? Has anyone done it, if so please post pics and price of the mod.

The only thing you could do is replace the mirrors with aftermarket ones that have the built in signal. You would keep your power function... but lose the heating function.

I guess you could have custom signals put into the stock mirrors... but that would probably cost more then it's worth... so it's just cheaper to buy aftermarket ones....

If you search on the net you'll find plenty of places that carry these mirrors. I'm not sure off-hand about pricing but I would guess around $100 or so.....

also, you lose the ability to have the mirror adjust down when your reversing.

personally wouldn't sacrifice that feature, it definitely helps parallel parking.

there was a thread about this not too long ago...

if you really want to get this done, you can mod your stock mirror housings to include a cutout for a lighted reflector (whether that reflector be a sidemarker or something of your own invention). if you don't mind not having a smooth exterior, you can probably drill a hole of wires and install something flat (or close to that) on the outside of the housing.

Good call.... forgot about losing that feature too.

There are a couple of threads about this in the TL section... so you can search in there for more info....

It would be cool if someone could do the turn signals, keep the heating function, keep the tilting for parking and mod the mirrors like the Inspire auto fold in. What a project.

no,no,no, not me. I meant someone if they did it. I'm not smart enough for that kinda mods. I have a buddy that might do it. But my ride isn't gonna be the test subject.
