Question Turn off Maint. light

Anybody know how to turn off the maint. light? I did my oil change at home (Mobil1!) but I forgot about the light. Anyone know how to do it? I'd really hate to go to the dealer for it, b/c the dealer is kinda far from my house (anything for a best deal, right?). Thanks in advance!

I believe you simply leave the car turned off, then press and hold both the select and reset button's together, turn the key withouth turning on the engine, continue to hold the buttons for 5 seconds, then turn on the engine and the light should go away.

If that doesn't work, play around with holding the buttons, I'm 99% sure that's what makes the light go out.

Press and hold both the Select and Reset buttons that are used for the trip odometer before the car is started and keep holding them for about 10-20 seconds (can't remember exactly) after starting the car. This will turn off the maintainence light and reset it until the next 7,500 miles passes.

This information should also be in the owner's manual.

Well if you take it to the dealer they will do it for you. It is not reseted after oil change, only after some maintainence like 7,500 and so on.
