Funny how bone stock it's kind of Avalon Ugly...
Cool thing is Toyota offers what's called Yamaha Power which includes certain sportier accessories and performance parts...i noticed they offer Volk Racing GT-P 18" wheels, though Rays Engineering probably leaves the Volk name out.

Seriously, I won't even think about turbo/supercharge the TL...mainly because of the POS transmission..with stock engine, it can barely hold...putting a turbo on will send it straight to hell....and 99%, the dealer will void warranty because of the turbo. Just a thought ...

Looks tight and i wouldn't change a thing from the Yamaha Power version and it's cool that Toyota offers it as an optional package.

you can get the GS300 and put aftermarket tubro kit in there...
Of course it's not gonna be the same... but at least it's not something that you totally can't get...

The Mark II and Cresta are a RWD twin turbo beast that everyone in the US should have the pleasure to drive. So many nice cars have been for sale in Japan for years and people here don't even know they exist. Nissan has the Cedric/Gloria another twin turbo machine. Plus the best part is TOTAL aftermarket support for everything for these cars.

Hello,
Writing from Japan again.
The car is dressed up by a company "Hipposleek" that is located in Tokyo Japan.http://www.hipposleek.co.jp/
The car reported by Edr0e is in their website. The base car is 110 MarkII that is the latest model introduced in 2001.
http://www.hipposleek.co.jp/110mark2.html
Their line-up is here.
http://www.hipposleek.co.jp/lineup.html
Since the average sale of Acura TL here in Japan is only less than 500 per month, no shop is interested in designing aftermarket parts except HONDA Japan.
Hipposleek's business looks like to design and make bolt-on type aero part.
Hope this is information you may like.

hi amfjabe:
i'm an american living in tokyo. i have a H11 saber 32v and am thinking about upgrading my 16" wheels to 17" wheels. just curious if you have made any upgrades to your stock wheels or suspension. where do you recommend i go to shop for wheels around tokyo?
btw, my shaken is coming up soon. do you recommend that i go to a honda dealer to get it done?
thanks.

Glad to know that there is an American driving Saber here in Japan!
Well, I have got my 2002 Saber 2.5 in this January. It is completely stock expect some genuine options like cornering lights.
The wheels are now 16" for 2.5 and 17" for 3.2 Type-S.
At present I think that 16" is enough for my 2.5 and stock suspension setting also.
I am not familiar with wheel shops but huge auto part shop such as Super Autobacs in Shinonome will help you.
As our car is come from US, we should be careful not to get inappropriate part such as wheels with wrong offset.

I am very satisfies with them as they have done good diagnostics.
It is my opinion that Getting Shaken is good at your dealer because they know your car well although repair is sometimes expensive at dealers and repair shops provide reasonable prices.
I am not sure if you can speak Japanese, but if you need to have my help on communicating with Japanese who don't speak English at Autobacs etc. I am more than happy to help you.
Thank you.
