Turbo...

I was part of .net a while back when I had my 6th Gen Accord. I remember an eBay turbo kit being posted up on the forums for the 6th gen V6 Accord. I came across the kit again today on eBay and was wondering if the layout is the same on the 2nd gen TL-S. Just to clear this up first, I will NOT be using the eBay turbo kit. If the piping layout is the same, a friend and myself will be building a replica kit out of some real stainless steel piping and getting a better turbo.

I haven't read upon any other threads regarding this kit, so decided to ask and see what's up with this. I'm on break for the next 2 months, and my friend and I have lots of time on our hands and both are mechanically inclined. Any help would be great.

well I mean if the piping layout its the same, I wouldnt mind wasting a $1000. It would make my life easier in making a replica piping kit out of some legit material.

looks like everyone avoided your question

have you tried asking the seller if he has any kind of knowledge about the TL motor/layout?

also, see if you can get a v6 accord and park it next to your TL and see how different the layouts and spaces are. if it's vastly different, which it shouldnt be, then the kit's not gonna do you much good. whereas if there are small differences in placement here and there, a little bit of fabbing over the ebay kit oughta make it work.

and lastly, ask what the return policy is on that kit. if they're pretty easy about it, buy it, test fit it and send it back for i dunno, 500 dollar return or something.

yeah, buying and returning is a possibility. Im looking into it right now. I have the money to spend and the time at hand. I just want the finish product to come out with minimal flaws if not that all.

Do NOT buy that crap, it is way overpriced for most likely horrible quality pieces, and I'm fairly sure the seller has no clue on the setup of the accord/TL

Additional piping might be required and/or modification might be needed
Comes w/ Extra Parts! Professional Installation is Highly Recommended (No Instruction Included)!!

^^^Yeaaa, not the kind of turbo kit I would be looking to buy....

My god, can any of you guys read... He states he wants to use it to fabricate his OWN piping.

In the case that I just go the route to fabricate on my own without that POS kit, do any of our truly turbo'd Aziners have any help to offer? Maybe a diagram and piping schematics?

no one would have a "piping schematic" for a turbo, its all about measuring twice and bend once....with the engine still in tact.

and u gotta know how to weld
