TSX Loaner

Is it me or does anyone else really miss their car when the dealer gives them a TSX as a loaner? I mean I appreciate getting a loaner than nothing and it's a nice car but when I get my car back I am soooo happy to be back in my TLS. It just makes me appreciate my car more. I will have a TSX this Thursday till Monday getting the window trimming painted and I dread having to keep it car for that long.

I agree, but try driving around a Corolla for a couple days or an RSX for a few weeks!! The you'll really appreciate the car.

A Corolla? Ughhghg, if I had to take one of those I would really have to leave it, there is no way! O.k. I better begin appreciating this TSX then!

Haha, I got yelled at by my fiancee yesterday because she took the car in, since she works near the dealership, and they gave her a corolla. She calls me and telling me how I need to pick it up and drop off her accord! So today I took the corolla and have to drive it back to get my car later tonight.

I actually didn't mind the corolla because my drive to work is backroads and not exciting. I've sure if I had to take the highway, like she does, I would not be so pleased. The corolla is actually quite comfy and had enough pickup for everyday use. I just can't get the tires to chirp!

Actually the RSX is a fun car to drive in manual mode. Driving the TLs makes me feel old, the MDX makes me feel family and the driving the RSX loaner makes me feel single all over again!

I guess because I've had my fun ricin' it up I feel defenseless in the RSX. It's not the Type S when I do get one and it's automatic. So needless to say it's quite boring. And using the SS I hear the click click of the shifter which sounds so cheap. And it just doesn't move like I thought I would. I guess in college I would have loved it but I've grown old I guess.

True but my TLS is pretty fast compared to a non-S RSX manual.

had a Maxima for a loaner and that was nice, but I always get a RSX and even though they are fun to toss around, I still miss my TL-S!

The TSX was nice as a loaner but I was happy to get the TL-S back. I was surprised how little umph the TSX had. It screams for headers and a turbo.

hmmmm

I had a 6 speed TSX and I got to say it was fun as all get out...seemed to have much more fling-a-bility than the TL-S - really liked the cool blue lighting and the stereo was killer compared to mine..

I really disliked the lighting stereo, it reminded me of my home stereo system by Sony. In too much sun, it wasn't really readable. Like I said, I had an auto and even in SS I could chirp the wheels nor spin out like my car. I guess the 6-speed is what I should try out, maybe I can ask for that instead.

I was hoping to get a TSX as a loaner ... Last time I got a crappy 2000 Integra, this time at least I got an RSX ... A TSX would be a huge upgrade as a loaner, at least you've got leather and a nice interior. The base RSX I had hardly had anything .. It was fun to fool around and push it to the limits ... but the little RSX engine (not the RSX Type-S engine mind you) is way sluggish compared to the TL-S ... Definitely was happy to get back into my car.

Steering feels real weird in the RSX versus the TL-S too ... I think the RSX power steering is speed based while the TL-S power steering is torque based which probably accounts for the difference.

y'all are soooooo pampered. last loaner I got was a cavalier. The loaner before that was a cavalier too!

On a side topic, I went to the honda dealer and got in one of the cars that has had me intrigued for a while: The Accord Coupe 6 cylinder. All I have to say about that car is that it really doesn't even compare to what you get in the TL-S. I was very dissappointed....

Haha, I chirped the tires today from a stop. Torque braked it to about 1500-2000 rpms and then mashed the peddle on green. Got a decent chirp.

TSX

I just dropped off my TL-S & got a blue TSX as a loaner.

Man this thing needs a V6. What's the purchase price for these cars? I would give over 22k for it brand new.

MPG appears to be a tad low, but I'm driving it like I stole it.

The power band reminds me of my 86 Integra. Way up there in the RPM's.

The one they gave me was a non S and it had a sticker of $29,500, I thought was totally ridiculous! No way in this world, $25k is the most I'd ever pay.

I know

there is no S version of the TSX - if they put that 240 v6 in there it would screem.

There is no S version? Really? Dang, then why in the world would the price be so high on it? I must have looked at the sticker price wrong, had to.

You guys that got a smaller car should've raised hell. Tell them you have a family and you can't have a loaner that's barely big enough for two adults, much less 2 adults+kids. I demanded a large car so I got a rental Taurus for loaner. Boy, did I appreciate the TL-S when I got it back.

did it have navi?

I know when I looked at them v.s. the TL-S the navi version was close to the non navi TL-S 29K and 29K ..the salesman told me that was a problem why the were not selling. With incentives the 03 TL-S was coming in as cheap as a TSX.

4000

for navigation is not worth it when I can buy a kick butt PDA and a GPS unit for it and still save about 3000 + dollars.

Navigation is only $2k more. PDA and GPS is not even close to the TL or Accord Voice recongnition Navi. Not to mention the appearance of the Navi make the interior look much more nicer.

My brother in law bought a TSX for $28K off the lot with Navi, not bad for that car.

That is just too small of a car to pay that much for, I'm sorry. I came from my 2dr. Civic to the TLS. I never thought I'd use all the space in this car, but now I can't see myself without it. $27,500 for my TLS is well worth it!
