Question TSX. Does it temp you?

TSX. I like the overall package and do like the looks. I still like the way my TL-S looks a bit more, but I'm sure many will disagree.

Anyway, it is an enticing package and I may test drive one in April (Just for fun of course).

I do have a feeling that the fit and finish of this car will be superior to the TL though. But, no V6 and no torque will probably keep me away.

It will definately appeal to many TLS owners. Why?

Because at the time, the TLS was the only real 4 door version of an Acura sports sedan that was available.

Not everyone needed the TLS size (I did as for me it is a family hauler).

If I were pre-kids and looking for an entry level 4 door sports sedan, the TSX would probably top the TLS on my short list because smaller wheelbase = more nimble.

The interior is like WHoA!!
but after seeing the car in real life shot, i dun really like it.
Still digging the interior though.
This is my comment on Honda on 03-04 design.
F*cked up exterior.
Nice interior.

I don't think it will tickle anybodys fancy that has a TL or Type S.
This car is on the lower end of the food chain of the ACURA line up. It has nice new features but the new TL will be out soon & with some of the newer stuff also. The TL is the middle of the ACURA line & the RL the top of the chain when it comes to family cars.

After seeing it at the chicago autoshow .. I can say that it will not be in my future .. it looked better in pics .. nothing of it excites me enough to consider it over other vehicles.

I like the TSX. It's an excellent platform for mod. I like the TL power and comfort, but it's just too big. I'd be happy enough to have a 4-cyl just as powerful as a 6. If I ever get the TSX (more likely a TSX-S) I'd do JDM convertion, no doubt.

interior is sweet. However, that 4 banger has a fuel economy of 21 mpg, which is really close to a tl. Not worth giving up my 6!

i dont even think the cars are comparable, the tls is bigger, faster, better looking(opinion), just made to be a nicer car, and all this talk about how the tsx is going to be so nimble, have you guys ever taken a type s out on some hard turns, does damn fine in my book, my car hugs the road. Anywho, I know i sure as hell wont me getting rid of my type s for a tsx, EVER. The only way to go is up, next car after my TLS is a Jaguar S-type R. And again this is only opinion, but smaller cars dont appeal to younger people, it is the smaller price tag on the smaller cars, i was 19 when i bought my tl, and all my younger friend say they love how big it is, I love pulling up next to an accord because people compare them so much, ya it looks like a ghetto mini me next to the TL.

Does the TSX come with a 260 hp V6 under the hood? Sorry, not enough balls in the TSX. My stock TLS is barely enough power for my style.

I think the TSX looks okay and I like the thought of the manual. But I am too freakin old now and want comfort. I will however not likely ever buy another Acura due to the tranny problem. I will likely go Toyota next.

If this was a 4-door Integra forum, then maybe the answers would be different. But give up my 6-cylinder TL for a 4 cylinder TSX? - no way. There is no such thing as too much power.

I think it's a great car, but I think for the price I'd pay the extra money to get into a TL, or a TL-S. My next Acura will probably be a hybrid if they'd ever come out with one. Hopefully they'll bring hybrid technology to the Accord platform next, then to the Acura lineup in some fashion.

Too expensive

I dunno if you guy read the april 2003 Car and Driver. But the TSX is too high. For the manual (base), it's 26,000 and just in case you wanted an auto....that would be 29,000 w/nav. You can get a new 240hp AV6 auto for cheaper. Why bother to get the TSX? If the type-s comes out soon then it'll be better but also with a price tag comparable to the TL-S. Honda is competing with themselves. Market erosion.
