TSB on TL Rotors

can someone post a link for me to print this out for my dealer. I just had my Rotors re-surfaced yesterday and I'm guessing from the looks of it, they will need re-surfacing very soon.

I would like to have the link to show the dealer this issue, and have them replace all 4 rotors, pads....and everything else that is the cause of this issue.

thanks

sc354, is there anyway you can post a photo of the rotors? I'd really like to see what they look like warped. Also, this is all covered under warranty, right?

unfortunately Acura just fixed them yesterday. The only difference visibly that I can see is that they are shinier on the surface. And of course that the brakes no longer shake when I brake.

sorry for not being able to post pics, maybe next time.

It would be virtually impossible to tell the difference between a warped rotor and one that is true (not warped). For a rotor to be considered "warped" it has to be more than .003" of runout. So if you were lookin at a vinyl record on a turntable (remember those?) and the record is warped only .003" it would be too hard to tell with the naked eye.

the only real way to tell if the rotor is warped is too drive the car, and feel the pulsation that it gives through the steering wheel. The only reason i want a TSB for the rotors, is so that I can take the car back to the dealer the second time this warped rotor thing happens, and put this TSB on their desk and say "Please Replace all 4 rotors"....

atleast it will give me some leverage with this dealer.

in a similar post, i mentioned that i didn't even need one. i have had mine resurfaced and replaced (just last week). acura knows their rotors suck, and so do the dealerships. so just demand that they fix it. my dealership did it with out even asking twice.
