ok, i want to put in two twelves, the box will be ported and approx 5 cubic feet. i haven't done any measuring, but i have a sneaking suspicion this will cover up the spare tire. any ideas on how i can still have a spare ? and dont just say dont get subs haha

 

5cubic feet, ur gonna cover up some of the spare tire. get a custom box made around the spare.

Go for a custom box but depending on the subs you use, the dimensions will vary. With a ported option, you will be probably using more space. Sealed boxes tend to be smaller and you will get a more tight sound but not as loud.

 

im def going ported. i wish i could get a full 5 but if thats not possible ill have to change up sub choice some then. i havent opened the spare area, would it be possible to curve around it?

more yet, what do you guys do that have subs blocking the spare do when you get a flat?

i was prob going with two hdc3 12s with aluminum coils. im not sure now tho. just throwing ideas around

 

hmm, what other choices are you thinking of? Depending on the sub, it is night and day as far as dimensions and quality. Not trying to persuade but those subs have an Fs = 43 Hz rating meaning you would get no real lower end. Gotta love the >20 Hz hit and hear/feel!

 

not sure. wanting to see box sized available and go there. what do people do without spares? (the people with most of trunk taken up)
