Post Trunk Mat

Ok, my TL came with this mat, but what I want is a mat like this... Does anyone have one for their TL? Jens, Wayne, do you know if Acura still has them?

What I want is something like this:

Question

Yeah, mine came with the Acura "Trunk Tray" too and it's pretty flimsy (IMO), esp for an asking price of $106. I also haven't figured out an easy way to use the cargo net with the tray in place, since I don't want to cut the tray. Anyone figured out the best way to use the tray AND the cargo net?

I simply cut slits in the tray to attach cargo net. I had the dealer "throw in" the tray in when I purchased the TL. IMHO, the mat is NOT worth anywhere near $106.

geez i love that tray - it's not supposed to be rigid, it folds in half for easy removal while containing all the dirt etc.... i was pretty happy to have it when i had to place a sandy flat tire in there - and subsequently didn't have to vacuum for a half hour - 5 minutes with the hose instead

That trunk mat may not seem that strong and for $106 it is kinda pricy. But like janda points out; it can help you keep the trunk from getting dirty. Las week, I had a spill of the car wash soap all over my trunk because I didn't close the cap tightly. If I had that trunk mat, i would not have had to spend about 1 hr trying to dry it out and wash out all the soap to get rid of the fumes.

Yeah, I agree that it's a good product, but defidently not worth $106. My dealer throws them in on ALL their vehicles. I bought the other type for my CL before, but I miss it because when I put the sub woofer back in, it's gonna slide all over the dang place. With the floor mat style trunk mat it would normally stay put. Sugguestions, ideas? I'm thinking (after suggested by StreetEffectz) to put a new tire cover in that's custom made with a recess for the amp. But then I couldn't use the mat. Anyone ever mount an amp where the DVD for the Navi is? (guess the question would be for non DVD only people)

What's the difference? I can't tell from the thumbnail pics. Is the top pic supposed to be the new trunk tray, and the bottom pic just a mat? I'm looking for a rubber trunk mat myself, so was just curious. A&H Motorsport told me Acura doesn't make rubber trunk mats for the 2001's, only the tray. In any event, I've never seen the tray in person, so don't know how it differs. DA

Not sure how the "tray" affects your use of the cargo net. I thought the hooks for the net are mounted on the sides of the trunk, not on the floor. Or does the tray have a big lip that somehow blocks the hooks? DA

I can't tell from the pictures either.
I have the trunk Mat I think or maybe its the Tray. I got it from the dealer for $80.00
It does keep the trunk from getting dirty.
I had a carpeted trunk mat in my 94 Accord that I purchased from Honda. I like the vynil better because you can just wipe it off to clean.
