That's on my list as one of my current TL projects - putting a light under the hood. Not sure if I want to install a small housing for a "168" type wedge bulb (not enough light) or a 6" white neon tube - I'm working on it

cool, but it should'nt have to be a project! with all the great engineering of our cars , they left out something so simple but so important. hood lights should be mandatory safety equipment on all vehicles, how many have broken down at night, lifted the hood , only to find a black hole?! ATT: all TL owners, make a flashlight standard equipment in your car, preferrably a big fat heavy maglite that will also double as a handy jerkbeater if needed...kman156

I have a mini mag lite in my trunk too. But I want a light under the hood - I'm going to install a pin switch (like the doors have for turning on the interior lights) and it will come on when you open the hood.

Jake,
How about tying into the pin switch that is used for your Clifford alarm. Now you got me thinking.

To be honest, I don't remember if my previous Acuras had one either.... I never needed a light under there for that matter.
