Question Tremor in steering wheel...

Alright, get this, .....

i purchased 03 type s (17" )wheels from ebay, and put them on my 03 tl.

I purchased new tires(sumitomo 215/50) had them balanced and the car aligned.

Upon balancing the tires, mechanic tells me that one spoke is slightly dented in. But says it is not major. So i continue the installation.

The car rides awesome, i can take turns a bit quicker now, feels great except traveling in da 50-65 mph range.(where the steering wheel starts to tremor). Traveling outside of this speed range is ok, I can travel 70mph and up with absolutely no tremors.

The defective wheel was placed in my rear right. I cant replace the wheel immediately.

I guess my question(s) are/is:

Can i ride on my wheel being in this condition?

Has anyone ever experienced this?(a lightly bented wheel that rides ok)

Can a wheel shop fix the wheel?

On another note, can it be the tires?(Keep in mind the mechanic, did say the the dent is NOT major. So i kinda trust his judgement.)

Let me know what you guys think, any type of feeedback is greatly appreciated. I would hate to put the old set on, since it will set me back some more.

When it comes to our alloy once they get bent it does throw off the entire design/balance scenario for that wheel7tire . You must take it to a professional wheel shop they will able to tell you.

The bend in the rim shouldn't be hard to fix but it will take a pro to do it. As long as there is no cracks in the metal it should be fine to have done.

Years ago I hit one of those lane barriers that look like a Baby Moon hub cap and put a bend in the bead area of a Polycast (center and spokes was urethane coated magnesium and the out rim was steel) rim on my Talon. The wheel shop, I think, charged me about $80 to straighten it.
