Trany help

When i first got my 200 TL, it was brand new back then, it felt like every shift was silky smooth and I couldn't barley tell the car was shifting... Lately, especially when I just start the car and for the next 10 min, the transmission is really jerky, especially as gentle acceleration... Does anyone else have this? Is this normal? Should I take it to the dealer? Is there a recall or TSB about this stuff???

I too am having probs with Tranny. Several have had thiers replaced. Take it in and at the next service have them check out. You will get the no problem observed response. Keep documenting it at every service, so when it goes it will be replaced.

Well that's your problem right there, your car's 1801 years old!

Joking, of course. Don't forget that our auto trannies are adaptive, which means it adjusts its shift points to adapt to your driving style. This may explain why the tranny stays in one gear a little longer, or shifts into overdrive sooner.

I know my 02 TLS has learned my driving habits and now keeps the tranny in 3rd gear a little longer during acceleration... just the way I like it!

Well you all should know from my posts that my transmission is really bad! It got stuck on second gear three times. It shifts really hard and with the AC on, in traffic, I feel like getting out of my car and beating the sh!t out of it. It makes a loud boom here and there when I am shifting from park, reverse and drive. I am taking my car in to park avenue acura on wednesday. Hopefully they can help me out and make my car drive like a normal car again.
