Transmission service question BMW 528i

Well from the title that's the car I'm working on right now... It's shifting a little hard lately (I know this isn't a bmw forum) I got the trasmission fluid/oil whatever you want to call it... But I don't have the filter for it. I was wondering what would happen if I change the oil now and like in week change it again and change the filter as well. Can it damage anything or should I do it all at once? Thanks

Mostly you waste several qts of trans fluid

The filter is very important on cars that have one

LOL I just tried it. The bimmer has 130k on it. I'm the 3rd owner and just found out it never got some service. I just sea foamed the full thing. Including oil, gas, tranny and list goes on. Lets see what happens. I think I'll be driving TL to work tomorrow and until I get the filter and all.
