This week I had my transmission replaced in my 02 TL with 79K miles on it.

I need to know if this is normal...

Driving at low speeds, for example 15 mph, I completely take my foot off of the gas pedal, the tranny seems to downshift hard, almost in a jerky motion.

Sometimes at higher speeds it does it too, but mainly in traffic I notice it more at low speeds. Is this normal??

I've told the dealer many times about this over the past couple of years when I go in for service and they always say that they can't find any problems.

 

ive have a similiar problem, when i take my foot off the gas n hit the brakes like normal and it down shifts it slows down as if it were assisting my stop...somethin like a manual transimission would...is this a sign of a bad tranny or any other bad problem?? or am i just trippin, n thinkin too much of it?? my cars body right now is fuuuucked up, i dont need no fuckin powertrain problems to top it off...by the way 03 TL, with 89,000
