Hey guys im a newb. I was wondering if every 2ng Gen has a transmission problem because im about to buy a new TL and the tranny hasnt gone yet.

 

Listen man, that car's transmission WILL die! It will suicide on you 100%.

We told you in the other thread, be prepared to spend an extra 3k for a new tranny. The post 2005 replacement transmissions seem to work much better, but that car has the original tranny. That means it's going to shit itself no matter what.

You can swap the transmission to a manual for cheaper than 3k, but that still makes the car really really expensive. It's a clean car, but maybe you should try talking the price down a little.
