NO filter. You just need to drain and fill - depending how many repeatations you want to do it. Each drain and fill takes about 3 quarts of new tranny fluid.

The tranny drain plug is just below the transmission on the driver side. The fill part - you could fill through the hole where the transmission dipstick is plugged into (it was PITA), or remove the oil-jet kit (if you have one).

Hope this helps.

Cheers !!!

Take it to the stealership

The stealership has the equipment that will allow a complete flush that will get the fluid out of the torque converter. No need to do that drain and fill technique.

Road and track had a good article on this topic. I used to just do flushes...well I still do but if you dont have access to a machine or the money to do them, the drain/fill works nearly as well. Most car makers suggest the drain/fill for internal service, based on the results that the new fluid will compensate for what was left in the torque converter and tranny lines and cool the tranny enough to carry it over until its next service. The maker would only rec. this if it was effective....while the fluid flush is the best method, others work just as well and do not cost as much.
