Transmission Drain Plug Stuck

Hello all again,

I've given up trying to get the drain plug off for the transmission. Took it to a shop I am near and they can't get it off either. Is there any other way I could possibly drain the fluid? I assume I might need to take a line off or something. Wanted to see if this has happened to anyone on here. One place I called said they can "flush" it out but I didn't like the sounds of that. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

What I don't understand is how 'the shop' cannot remove this little ole thing (90081-PX4-003):

Unless it is stripped?

I took it to 2 places now.. the shop i got the car ok the road said they were afraid they will crack the transmission and the other (an acura dealership.. only was there to order a part) and they said the same thing. Neither tried anything other than just tugging on it. No thread buster or anything.

Sorry to hear.
Looks like thoiboi's recommendation is the path to follow?

Yeah might have to go that route. Thanks.

Will this one suffice? https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/d...-0283009p.html

Wow.. I only had to use a breaker bar to break-loose maybe I was dumb and didn't think about the possible damage.. My first attempt was probably13 years ago and hasn't been an issue since then. Maybe try to use a torch or heatgun?

If more than one shop and a dealership said they wouldn't do it, please don't try it yourself. Mechanics aren't known for being gentle, so they definitely already tried using more force than they should have. If they are worried about the trans casing cracking, they already slipped a pipe over the breaker bar. I honestly don't see how that bolt can hold so much torque, but I'd just consider it welded to the casing now.

So.. no picture of the bolt?

Thread breaker, $25 Home Depot heat gun and a breaker bar will do it. It’s steel vs aluminum, and your on the side of steel.

You will win, put in some effort.
