Trans fluid pink inside?
I had a remanufactured transmission installed in my 03 TL Type S about 2 years ago and when I checked the fluid color it was kind of brownish in color. I had my trans flushed yesterday at my local Acura Dealership and when I brought it home I checked the dip stick and it was pink again. I expected it pink. It seems to shift smoother, maybe just me?
Has anyone checked the color of the fluid right after they installed it? If so, was it brownish?

normally most trannies due shift better, when they get flushed, due to a more consistent fluid and not having all the shit floating around inside of it

i just did a drain and fill a few weeks ago and it was nasty brown turning into sludge. i did the flush 2x and the color of the ATF finally turned more pink/red. shifting was def smoother at lower speeds b/t 1st and 3rd gear.

but has anyone noticed when they replaced their transmissions from the dealership, was the fluid brownish? I'm talking right away not 10k or 20K miles later?

you could use the thing that it is all clutch packs breaking in (kinda like how you need to bed in brakes before you use them hard), but it still should be red

Thanks for all the replys.
I thought it was odd but I didn't say anything to the dealership at the time, my mistake. They are closed now. I hope the transmission will last me longer. The car only has 75K miles. There isn't anything that I can do now. I'm glad I had the fluid replaced, it seems to be working fine.

acura only does a drain and refill of 3 qts- while the trans actually holds 7.3
So its going to look funny and crossed color from that
Takes a 12 qt drain refill drive drain refill to get all the old fluid out
Acura says 3 qts is fine though- bizarre

x2 ^, acura does provide drain and refill with 3 qts. or they can charge you flush service, which will be 3x3 drain and refill. So, if it was just drain and refill, then the fluid color is still just reddish or brown.
