Hey, can i just call a dealer and tell them i want my tranny swapped as stated in the recall or do i have to wait for it to fail!? i go to school full time and work part time during the school semesters so it would be easy to get this all done be4 school starts. whats a very good dealer in the NY/NJ area!!?

 

Yes, the dealer will require you to have a problem with your current tranny before they would replace it under the recall.

The 2nd & 3rd gear squirter recall is a "fix" to your existing tranny, unless the inspection finds a problem that requires it to be replaced.

Take it in for the squirter recall and hope for the best.
