Wink Tranny Question #92931999 haha

Alright guys! I know you get a million of these questions a day. But I've searched and couldn't find any results. google-fu must be bad.

#1 If I stomp the pedal to the floor from a Dead stop. My RPMS will shoot up to the rev limiter but my car won't go anywhere. Then after a couple seconds it will kick back in gear. Maybe the ECU?

#2 If I go over a speed bump or any big bump not at turtle speed, Tranny will slip for a few seconds then kick back in? Or sometimes going up a steep incline.

#3 If I go hard on the gas pedal, For the first 5-8 minutes of driving the tranny will slip a couple times?

Other then what I listed, My car doesn't slip when driving around town. I can go heavy on the gas pedal where my tires chirp from a stop just not WOT. Car also shifts pretty smooth driving around (other than listed above). Any suggestions or answers would be greatly appreciated!

I checked the tranny fluid. It's below the 1st dot? Maybe causing some problems?

Any advice on where I could find a 2006-2007 Honda Accord Tranny?

If your tranny fluid is low that is about a 1 quart fix. Put enough in there to get it back to the middle of the dots.

Any codes?

No codes, No warning lights no nothing.
One time the VSA light & Triangle light was staying on. But went away after a day.
But other than that nothing. I'm hoping it has to do with the real low tranny fluid.
I really can't afford to do a tranny swap right now. Have about 3k in accident damage to repair atm.

You can probably gate shift it if it gets worst 1>2>D5.
Make sure your checking the level the correct way, engine warm and off on a level surface.

Does the fluid smell burnt or is it discolored?

Oil is pink. I bought the car used. So don't know what type of oil is in there. Im gonna do a 3x3 atf dw1 drain though. It drives fine and has been the same for like 4 months hasnt gotten any worse. Its really not bad. Only problems are above. But slipping is non exsistent on normal driving maybe pnce in a blue moon It will slip at a red light

Hey Hrxguitar, did the previous accident damage possibly affect the tranny in any way ? Perhaps something caused a leak.....check up underneath for any signs of leakage or anything out of place around the tranny solenoids and shafts.

For now, as previously suggested.....fill with fluid to the proper level and see if that helps. Ya may also want to put a piece of cardboard underneath the tranny after driving the car to help determine the general location of a possible leak.

correct fluid level is vital to operation and can make the symptoms described
get some of the new Honda atf in there and quit stomping the gas pedal
have a little respect, your baby is getting older~

I have a 2003 TL type-s.

Thanks everyone for the info! I talked to an Acura mechanic the other day. He mentioned that it could be a shot rear mount. For going over bumps and slipping. and the clunk when going reverse.

No visual leaks tho. Got paid today doing DW1 drain ASAP.
