Tranny Problems Post Here, help out the TL community
My TL has 5K miles and I have not noticed any real problems with my tranny yet, but it does seem to be not quite as smooth as it once was.
The purpose of this thread is to help people who are currently having a tranny problem or will in the future. This method works very well and the S2000 list utilizes it to get a lot of their problems fixed whether it be tranny problems or the engine failure that was happening.
TL owners who have already had their tranny fixed or those going through it should post it on one thread (hopefully below). You should post the date, year, and as much info about your TL that you can (vin).
This will allow upcoming TL owners to come here, print out this thread and provide it as evidence to a dealer-Honda-Acura when presenting their tranny failure.
This method works very well and helped out very many S2000 owners.

There is already a thread with much of this information already compiled. Here's the link:

One more thing...
Those that have had failures, please file a report with NTHSA. Sure, it will end up on your carfax report, but a tranny replaced under warranty doesn't look too bad to a buyer (IMHO). To me, it would look like a tranny with less mileage than the car!
NHTSA link
The best thing we can do is get Acura to pay some serious attention to this problem and give us answers, if not a recall. They'll listen to NHTSA if there are enough complaints filed.
