Tranny Issue -
This is the newest of my treads. I am writting this tread and it is just and update on the last tread i had posted which is called CAN YOU SAY WHAT ?. So yesterday i was leaving my doctors office and i had came to a sudden red light which i had to use my tech-tronic to slow down so i wouldnt go into the intersection. But to find out that right when i used it i had another tranny issue. I recently had got stuck out in Lancaster on the 14 north and had to tow my car to Valencia which i had a new tranny put into my car. But just 2 months prior to that i had a whole tranny and brand new tranny E.CU in. So i am driving another one of these lame Buckets that they give you as a rent-a-car till my rides fixed but the point is that this is the 3rd tranny within 3 months im Pissed.

I just got my car back from the transmission replacement (83K miles) and am seriously considering selling the car due to the risk of the tranny going out again in the not so distant future. I was told by the Acura mechanic that the transmission would cost ~$6K to replace and for a 5 year old car with over 100K miles that would be a waste. Have you considered selling your car considering that the new transmissions are failing as well.
Furthermore, doesn't Acura have an obligation to re-engineer the transmission, seeing that the "fixed" transmissions are failing rather quickly.
Side note: My dealership said it would take at least two weeks. I picked up my rental (Chrysler 300)on Saturday and they called today to say my car was done. That was two working days.

Our stupid SportShift is so s..l..o..w to down-shift that using the brakes is almost always faster to stop the car than using the transmission gear.
When I bought my car new, I was trying to use the SS to downshift into corners, like those F1 and BTCC cars, on my mountain-winding trip to Tofino. But the damn thing took almost 1.5 to 2 seconds to downshift from 5-4-3 and the shifts were violent and abrupt that I almost ran off the mountain banks. I don't know about other makes, but the Audi A4 tiptronics I have driven shifted down almost instantly when tapped.
