Tranny failure
Yup. My transmission failed. 2003 TL non S type. If you're reading this, you're transmission will fail, believe me, i thought it wouldn't happen to me.
I guess the best way to put it is, our cars are like ticking time bombs, you just never know when its going to go though.
I got a silver TSX loaner and it looks like it'll be a week or more to get it fixed.
I think it's time to look for another car and start selling all my mods. I really enjoyed my TL because of all the fun, memories, and...

What happens to you when your transmission goes?
I mean mine slipped to a lower gear for a few seconds twice these past few months then went back up. Brought it in for a check up and was told the transmission needs to be replaced. I mean it wasn't much, let alone a complete replacement of the tranny.
So I am kinda wondering what did you (and others) experience when your tranny went? Just curious!

VIN 19UUA5673 3A030206
Acura 3.2 TL
Navi
4DR SDN
as for build date, I believe it was June 2002.
If you're reading this, please make the smart decision to prepare somehow before hand what to do if you're transmission fails. I read many transmission failure stories and believe me, they are just like how it is told. It WILL happen to you if not now, in the near future. Please be careful and drive safely with seatbelts especially with the ones you love.

yes, acura is replacing the transmission for free under warranty. more than that, it is such an inconvenience and waste of my time to have to drive to dealership and etc...
I'm looking at the 6spd 2004 or 05 TL... hopefully things will work out real soon.

failed tranny but no warranty extention
My 2003 TLP with 24,000 miles is also in the good Vin# range. However, the transmission still failed. I asked the question if the transmission was now covered for 100, 000 miles and one service manager said yes, then another said no. I called Acura's 1-800 number and they also said that it's still only covered for 50,000 miles. Has anyone in this same situation heard anything different?
