I have a 2000 and it is like that as well. I asked Acura about it and they said it was normal. The reason it happens is because it has some computer electronic control that takes a sec to engage. Personally, I am a bit worried about it. The freakin tranny better not fall out after 6 or 7 years. First time I seen this in a car.
