Tranny Died Yesterday Need Help Please!!!

What up Peoples!!!

My tranny died yesterday, and this is the last thing I need right now considering I am getting married next Friday.

My 2000TL car has 162 000KM on it, I went to the dealer and he confirmed I needed a new tranny. He said that he has to talk to the warranty manager to see if they are gonna cover it but he said I am 2000 km over the warranty limit and he was gonna let me know on monday what there decision is gonna be. I was wondering has anybody's dealer still replaced the tranny even though the warranty had expired, if Yes by how many KM/miles and who was the dealer?

Any help would be appreciated cuz he told me that it would cost around $4000 if I had to replace it.

Thanks,

i had my 2nd failure covered at 115,000 miles for free. if they give you problems about it call acura client services, and dont let them give you the run around. be firm with them. sometimes its a pain in the ass and you need to make acouple phonecalls.

Tranny Replaced at 160K Miles

Desler just replaced tranny #4 at 160K miles along with ECM. I brought car in for oil jet recall at 150K and at 152K noticed fluid leak on top of tranny. Dealer replaced tranny at 152k. Car shifted really crappy last month and started acting up at 160K(1 drive 125-150 miles per day commuting), took back to dealer and they replaced Tranny #4 but also ECU. They gave me a loaner TSX to drive for a few days. I can't speak for Canada Dealer Service but here in OH I'm pretty much golden with the dealer if this thing ever craps out again. They're so nice to me about this I'm prpbably close to qualifying for some sort of Lemon Law thing. I've been happy with support from the dealer. They've taken care of everything and it hasn't cost me $ one. Not bad for a 5 year old TL that just crossed the 160k mile threshold. Push back with the dealer. In the states they are replacing trannys at N/C at just about any mileage.

TSX vs '05 TL - TSX easier to drive and seats more comfortable. Definitely more tossable than the '05 TL. Just wish it had 50 more hp and it's be just about perfect.
