tranny died on my 1999

I took the car to the dealer cause i felt the transmission was going and sure enough they said they would replace it under warranty. they gave me a very nice loaner... 2001 CL type S so i get to rip that around for 2 weeks. my question is after getting the "newer remanufactred" tranny does the car keep the same performance specs because i heard they mess with the gearing ratios? anyone that can tell me if their car felt any faster/slower different their help would be appreciated. THANX

I've gone through 2 trannys and it felt the same as before in terms of power and gear shifting.

The real question is how many more trannys will I go through? The last one was done in October of last year and I have an 02 TLS.

I doubt they would give a 16 yr. old kid a $80k car.

haig14, sweet loaner .. enjoy it!

Are the symptoms on a 99 TL different than say a 00+ model for tranny dying? If so let me know so I can keep an eye out before I hit 100K mile.
