tranny cooler and tranny fluid...
I was wondering if I were to do a tranny fluid change every 15K miles, would getting a tranny cooler be necessary? If getting a cooler is a good idea, is the installation pretty easy? I'm not much of a doityourselfer but I was able to change my own oil a few days ago. Oh yeh, and in a previous post, someone mentioned a universal cooler being put in affects different cars differently, and might prove adverse. Is this possible? I plan on keeping this car for over 100K miles so I want to extend the life of the car in any way possible.
Thanks for reading thru this.

i think that without mods or even with light mods...it wouldn't make much difference in a TL unless you drive for hours at a time...

Unless you drive in very heavy traffic alot or use your TL to autocross, getting a tranny cooler will not benefit you in anyway.

I say once you've got all the bolton's on your car... i/h/e, I would go ahead and put a tranny cooler on it as well.
I mean for crying out loud they're only $40...
A tranny temp gauge would be in order as well. I've seen that quote everywhere 90% of tranny failures are due to excessive heat. It's good to know when you're at the limit, what's good for your tranny and what's bad.
