Well with 54k on my TL-S I am not sure if I should hope for a bad tranny or a good one.

Bad Tranny = New Tranny

Good Tranny = Same old Tranny

I have '02 Tl with 70k miles on it and the Tranny had irregular shifting alst Friday. I was about 100 miles from the dealership and luckily they paid $194 for the Tow. They gave me a brand new '04 tl to pimp and cakled me today to let me know they put a new tranny in. They were very professional and best of all, no $ out of my pocket! THe bad part is that I was planning on trading it in last weekend for a 4 Runner. I hope it is still there this weekend!

Sorry for the delay. Well they said my tranny is fine, not a single problem.

They said what they do is remove a hose or plug on the tranny then stick a digital camera/lens in there and take a picture. Then they compare the picture to others that Acura has sent them of bad tranny parts.

From those comparisons they decide what needs to be replaced, if any, or what type of fix to use.

They just ran that jet cool thingy to give 2/3rd gear more oil so that I wont get problems.

So much for a new tranny! lol
