Tranny #2 Gone??????
Well, while driving to work this morning, I felt the car slipping gears. Suddenly, the VSA light came on, d5 started blinking, and the engine light came on. I was able to turn around and get home, stuck in gear. I called roadside assistance and while waiting for a tow, I decided to startup the car. The engine light was still on, but the D5 was no longer blinking and the VSA light was not on. When I got to the dealership, I was told that it was only a solenoid and that they could probably replace the solenoid to fix the problem. After hearing the loud bangs when the car slipped into gear, I told them I would not take my car back without a new tranny. (Keep in mind, I now have 93k miles on my '03 TL-S).
Anyway, I am now driving an '04 TL with Navigation as a loaner..... I love it, but I will not be buying another acura anytime soon.
Are they gonna call me tomorrow and tell me that they are only replacing the solenoid, or do you think they will just replace the tranny?????
Thanks all.

most likely they will just replace the tranny. The last thing they need is for the tranny to blow and you getting in an accident to start up another law suite. I told my guys at the dealer that I think my tranny MIGHT be going soon. They said, next sign of problems, bring it in and we'll replace it.

Acura dealer just called me..... they ARE replacing my transmission.
One question though... Since I have 93k miles on my car, does this really mean that my new tranny will only be covered for 7k miles? That is BS!!
If my tranny goes again outside of warranty, how much will it cost me to fix it?????
