Post Trading my A4 for TL-S

As a former Integra owner, the acura brand isnt new to me... but its tough giving up my quattro a4. Main reason for it was the lack of back seat in the a4. Fun car to drive but its a 2 person four door and it makes going out or weekend travelling uncomfortable.
Got a few questions about the TL-S i guess..
I am looking at an Aegean blue and am going to upgrade the steering wheel to the black wood and leather... was wondering if the a/c trim and gauge peices can be added after the fact... or swapped out by me at a later date, and without paying the dealer. Other questions are will houston dealers move off of MSRP yet? THey had quite a few on the lot was curious to see if they will deal. Also is the DVD NAV the whole continental US? The brochure has a foot note to ask the dealer as to its coverage.. does that mean certain regions get screwed? LOL.

Anyway... thanks in advance... links and sig to follow after i get a lil more used to this forum.

Cheers

Darren

The DVD nav contains the whole continental US (possibly parts of Mexico & Canada - I could've sworn I put in a store name and one of the addresses was in Mexico) but detailed coverage is mostly in metropolitan areas but grows every year. I believe the Acura website lists all the cities with detailed coverage.

You better check the back seats of TL-S.
They are bigger than A4, but they aren't big at all.(not even as big as Accord's backseats) They are too small for me.
Front seats a huge and very comfortable.
Don't get me wrong, I'd take TL-S over A4 any second, but don't switch for the wrong reason.

I haven't seen the TL-S up close yet but are they really that small? For that matter are there any "performance sedans" with a decent size back seat? The only one I've actually sat in is the 330, which had plenty of backseat room and is a nice car.. but too much $$$ for me. Now the IS300... talk about a tiny backseat..

Hey FOO, you must know Zerin. He told me his friend was going to trade in his A4 for TL. My name is Calvin. I have a CL TypeS and it rocks. Well take it easy, just wanted to say hi.

??? The TL rear seats are much bigger than my Accord rear seats. But, I think they're lower to the floorboards. I can fit 2 friends, 6'5" and 6'3" behind each other in the TL "comforably". The 6'3" didn't even want to sit in the front seat of my accord. You might want to check the accord seats again.

If you think the 330 have plenty of backseat room then you are going to love the TL-S backseat room. Remember, the 330 is listed as compact while the TL-S is listed as midsize.

Darren,

The gauge kit is a stick-on thing that you can do yourself at anytime after you buy the car. The 2 vent trim pieces are also stick-on and come together in a box.

As long as you take your time, these things are very easy to install yourself.

To see what they look like, check out my pictures in the link below.

Good luck with the car...
