Unhappy Traded in the TL

Well we finally did it. We traded our '02TL-P Navi for a Honda Odyssey with Navi. The TL was great car but it was getting to be such a pain to load our daughter into the car seat and we continue to have an increase in the need to haul stuff.

Someone is sure going to get lucky to pickup an '02TL-Nav with only about 28k miles on it.

The TL was mainly trouble free. I think it just had a rattle in the sunroof which was fixed with tape from the dealer. Never had a tranny issue.

This board is "da bomb" and I'll continue to lurk and offer advice if I can. Sure don't want to miss the "off topic" section here

Good luck with your rides!

Odyssey is the better choice for family. It's roomier, cheaper, and has those huge sliding doors for easy entry and exit. Great choice!

As Vandy786 said the Ody has a lot more room in it than the MDX. Also a new MDX is over 12k more than an Ody. You can now get deals on Odys and probably not much off an MDX.

We could have gotten an 01-02 MDX for about $1-2k more than we paid for the Ody but I didn't want to continue to stress over the possibilty of the tranny dying on the '01. I consider myself fortunite that the '02 TL had no tranny issues.
I just hope the tranny in the '04 Ody is really fixed.

The power doors on the Ody are great. Loading my daughter in the car seat is now done while standing up instead of crawling into the car. It drives very well, car like in a lot of ways. I also enjoy the much more head/leg room in the van (I'm 6'4")

Oyeah, the Ody even came with the updated navi disc

They are both great vehicles. My wife has a 2000 Odyssey and I have the TL-S. Both have the Nav system. But they are used for totally different purposes.

Good call. Oddessey is a hot minivan on the market. Uncle just bought one as his wife has 3rd kid. Has navigation, DVD, and other fun stuff. 2003 model i think.
