Traction Control

This may be a stupid question but when your at a light and you know your gonna race would you get a better start if you had the traction control(VSA) off or if you left it on? Maybe someone has tried it who really knows b/c the only thing I get out of having it off is that the wheels spin more.

You will get better speed generally with the TCS off (that is, the TCS light is on), but you need to practice your launches to avoid wheelspin.

Try touching the gas a little to get the car rolling, THEN floor it.

Also, talk to guys that race to see how they launch.

If you can't get a consistent launch, then just leave TCS on.

if you sit there spinning you lose time, so it is better if you touch the gas to get rolling then floor it because it is harder to spin the wheels while in motion, mentl had the right idea

Don't just floor it. You need to take off with as little spin as possible then hit it. The thing about the TCS is that if it senses the loss of traction then it will cut power, which is what you don't want and that is why people turn it off when racing.
