Touch ups on rust
My TLS has rust spots the size of a sesame seed or a little bigger. I went to a body shop and they quoted me for $200 to repaint my entire hood (5+ rust spots) and touchups on the rest.
Is this a reasonable price since the rust spots are barely noticable? I need to fix that immediately but he seemed pretty desperate to get my car in.

If you're in a bind for time and have these little rust spots, I recommend 3M's Rust Avenger. It's a pen type product. You simply push the pen down slightly and some type of fluid comes out. It has some chemical reaction with the rust which keeps it from spreading, then it turns black and your "suppose" to be able to paint over it.
I have a small spot the size of a piece of rice on my hood by the wipers. You can't see it unless you look at a certain angle. I used the 3M RA and it's been black for over a year now. I'm not going to bother painting it.

you can clean the area your self like the above mentioned and use touchup paint. or you can have it all repainted. 200 to me does not sound that bad of a price
