touch up paint sucks

I used the touch up paint several times. I noticed there were so many problems with that. First of all, the damn brush is too big for touch up. And the paint seems to be runny even I shake it for a long time. It looks like the metallic color runs off the brush immediately. Also, after scrapping couple times of the excess gobs on the brush before applying, the paint is all gone back to the bottle. I used other Honda metallic touch up b4, this is the worst. Anyone experience that same thing?

Two suggestions

1) Buy touchup paint from http://www.paintscratch.com It's great stuff.
2) Use either a sharpened wooden matchstick. Make a point out of the end or
3) Use a pointy toothpick.

Dude, this works for me. Use your paint brush and brush it on the tip of a cotton bud (Q-tip or generic) & dab the Q-tip on the nick. Volia...

the trick is to dab, not smear.

i think the main reason for touch up paint is so after a stone chips your paint you can cover up the bare metal so you don't get rust where the chip is.

Question WDP Touch-Up Paint??

NSXNEXT's reply is right on the money. However, what color touch-up paint should I use for WDP bumpers (ie, it is a different color paint than that on the metal body)? I sent an E-Mail to NSXNEXT's suggested paint supplier and they said they couldn't help me; in fact, they suggested maybe the dealer had painted the bumpers a different color (yeah, right).

Hi NSXNEXT,

Have you tried their spray can? Is it better to use spray can or just a regular bottled touch up paint?

Thanks.

For paint chips, spray paint would cover too large an area. I would stick the bottle paint.
