Touch up paint Emergency

I just took the 3.2TL emblem off the trunk of my car and there were a lot of deep scratches from the lettering, so I filled them in with the touch up paint, now, my question is, how do I remove the excess paint that's around the scratches, because we all know it's impossible to only get the scratch. I need this answer quick, the paint on the car now
Thanks guys!

if they are paint chips i use masking tape around it and fill up with the paint...

if they are scratches i normally just paint over them and then run my finger around the scratch to remove all the excess paint... seems to clean it up and you cant even tell that it was ever there....

There is a way to wet sand the touch up paint and then,Scratch X the area and then wax. I've done it several times with great success and once or twice with less then desirable results. If you deside to tackle it use 1500-2000grit wet/dry paper and ONLY sand as much of the area that you need too(use a pencil eraser or something. Oh ya If your black(the car that is) dont even try it!
