Totalled! Arrgghghghhgh!

Well I guess it was bound to happen. Some of you may remember as the guy who wrecked his TL 10 days in (no my fault!). But now a sad 2 years later... its over.

As you can tell... she's toast. There isnt a straight body panel on teh whole thing... The guy was drunk and COKED OUT! He hit a total 8 of cars.... Mine got the worst but 2 othere are likely totalled as well...

I am so fucking angry right now.... I LOVED THAT CAR!

I'll post pix of the whole scene when I get them it was brutal... the whole block was torn up.

I'm looking around for a new car now, its pretty much impossible to find a 2nd TL/CL with under 60k...

I did see a G-35 with 61k going for 10 grand tho... if it checks out I might be a defector....

In DC, city of retarded drivers... You guys are gonna shit yourselves when I get the photos of whole street. 8 cars were hit.... WTF!

The G-35 is something I'm mulling around, its a great car, but I might just finance something new, when you have 10 grand to plunk down, dealers usually show mad love.

Maybe a GTI... always wanted a go-kart.

haha GTI is a good choice, especially the newest one. but over 30K don't think is worth the money.

.... I'd mine came out to 25, plus online price isn't what you actually pay, you can always knock off a couple grand from the dealer. Unless the car is really in demand ala the new camaro.

you can get more for your car by showing the trans invoice and other repairs or non removable upgrades on it to the insurance co--
like many things, you may have to fight for it- but if you have money invested in the car you are entitled to get that back over value of a regular car

For the record... I fucking loved this car, even though it gave me hell I've dumped thousands of dollars into it to keep it in good shape I loved every minute of owning it. If i had the scratch I'd buy an 09 without hesitation.

You could always ask the insurance co. how much for the totaled car and then part it out - if you have a new tranny and interior is good you could make some extra $ - just a thought...

Sorry this happened to you but you got the easy way out imo, saving you the trouble of trying to sell a car with shitty AT.

The new 09 wrx's are faster than the 08 sti's, lol... i interned at a subaru performance shop and fell in love with wrx/sti's. i rolled out on the freeway with my coworkers, and they're wrx's pull harrrrrd, of course they were modded out and tuned, but damn...

Probably not gonna part it out because I have nowhere to store it. Engine and trans were in great shape. Mounts had maybe 10k on them. Interior was C- my seat was shot, passenger was ok. back bench was blemished. The car had problems it was nowhere near mint.

Dang that sucks but like most said good thing you were not in there when this happened. Remember to tell the insurance company it was mint all that damage happened when dumb ass hit your parked car. Don't give them any reason to give you less just give them all the reasons to give you more. you could always get a couple small things no one would notice and may make you a couple bucks and help a couple members here out. Stick with Acura/Honda why would you down grade get another clean 2nd or 3rd Gen and love it all over again. If you get something else your just gonna come back anyway's so why even leave. Don't make the mistakes many have made.

I got lucky when I totalled my EP...since I had just put new tires on and I knew I was getting an RSX I asked my adjuster if I could keep the wheels...he was cool and told me as long as it rolls he didn't care. So I went to the junkyard and bought 4 doughnuts and put those on!

The towtruck driver that picked up the car had a different opinion though..he was pissed but ultimately took the as I left it.
