Post total price of car

for those of you that bought your car brand new, just curious as to how much it came out to after taxes, interest, etc.

after 60 months I will have paid $38k for mine. I still have 50 months left @ $475/month

Here we go again. Originally I borrowed $23k at 20% for 6 years. That would come out to $49k for my TL! I refinanced after 6 months and now have ~$18k to pay at 9.25% for 4 years... with no over-paying that comes out in about $3400 in intrest. Altogether with intrest I would have to guess the car cost about $36k or $37k.

Now if you are talking about the price of mods on top of that... I might just break $60k! Good thing I found a way to turn sitting in front of a computer into car parts! I lub j00 Tim!

Total price of my car drive out was 28,700. I put 10K down and my credit union financing is 7.25%, special for that week. Plus my car is on a 4-yr plan. So basically I pay $411.01 every mo. Speaking of car payments mines due in a couple weeks..argh~!

so i guess i got a pretty average price

28,500 msrp + 2000 body kit, spoiler, rims + 2500 taxes and fees + 5000 (7.64%) interest after 60 months = $38k

Wink

Hmmm...

2001 TL w/ Navi, spoiler, wood & trunk tray, & 5K oil changes covered till 60K.

Came out to $31841 AFTER TT&L

9K down plus $493/mo for 60 months comes out to $38580. Friggin 10.5% interest!

Good news is, I'll pay it off early and save some interest payments.

Well not really... I got a good deal of the aftermarket parts in return for my programming services. Also, theres no way I could finance that much, especially starting out with zero credit. Plus, while I would be driving a MB, it would be stock and the payments would be killing me. And insurance would be even more drastic than it already is. I feel like the TL was stretching my budget, to where I didn't even opt for navi. =/

The whole plan was to pimp the car out until summertime. Summertime begins (for me) at the end of May. Then no more money gets spent on mods and instead goes into moving into my own place.
