also...do you think its possible to put the stock low beams into the foglights? there 4300k right?...so possible? i;d have to modify the foglight housings either way right? or is there a hid kit that can be a direct fit into the foglights?

The 6000Ks look more blue on 99-01 models compared to the 02-03. Also it depends on which bulb D2R or D2S

Here is my 6000K D2S (warmed up) lowbeam with yellow D2R foglight

njtls, you can go to the projects forum to check out my foglight HID install guide: http://www.acurainspired.com/forums/...=ST&f=16&t=328

they make a 50 watt ballast now.....so you can run higher temp bulbs with a 50 watt (OEM is 35 watt) ballast and get a ton of light. I think 50 watt 5400k setups are like 4800 lumens....35 watt 5400 k D2S setups are about 2800 lumens. Stock TLS D2R 35 watt setups are about 3000 lumens.

Used Monokote Transparent Yellow film. D2S is a projector type bulb and D2R is a reflector type bulb. If you get D2S, you'll need to dremel out a hole on the bulb for it to fit.

The D2S is brighter. Technically, you can't fit the D2R into the foglight because the foglight is designed only for 9006 bulbs (There is a 9006 HID kit though, and that's what everyone on here did except me). Since I already had my old stock D2R bulbs, I found a way to secure and insulate them by moding a couple of things. You can find how I did it by clicking on the link in my first reply to you in this thread or check out the rest of the pics in my gallery on that site.

Other than the obvious difference in looking at the lights head-on. Did they make any difference (more light) when driving? Little/Lot/None?

From some of the pics it almost looks like the blue light doesn't illuminate as well.

Technically speaking, the 6000K puts out less light output than the stock HIDs. The stock HIDs has the most light output when compared to all the aftermarket HIDs.

But the 6000K just looks soooooooo good.
