Next we just took out the airbox and put on a CAI. Now this makes a big difference.
It is not that noisy at all at driving speeds, but when the RPM's get up there first you can hear a small whistling sound and then a low rumble. When it gets to 6000rpm it is loud and cool.
Back to 2-3000rpm, not a big difference again.
We are ready for more mods that do not cost an arm/leg and will give some perfomance improvements.

That is the weirdest thing in the world that I came on today and see this at the top of the posts. I say this because I took of my resonator last night. Im not impressed at all with the the sound difference. I guess Im used to owning 3 integras, and putting on so many intakes for friends. 45mins to get the bumber off???? I did the whole Job in like 20 mins and I went into it not knowing before hand what to look for. How the hell would you do it without taking off the bumber. There is a bolt on the resonator? I think taking off the bumber sounds easier then jacking up the car and pealing back the wheelwell. Im just used to talking off these honda bumbers from taking off the one on my friends civic. Please convince me in getting a CAI. I was just about to order one but I was just taking that off for temp. Tell me thats not all the sound you can get out of these cars, If thats it then you boys sure get impressed easily b/c its not loud at all IMO.

OK OK, I know about this beast resonator before the airbox in the bumper area, but what about this black box between the airbox and engine, pointing down with 2 'J' chambers, I thought that was the resonator. On my old 3000GT, the 'resonator' was more like the 'J' box between the filter and engine....

What is that 'J' box?
