too many TL's
too many TL's
How many people get the feeling that the dealers are selling their 2nd gens at cutthroat prices? I was coming home from work and I was waiting for a left turn light and I noticed this gray TL in front of me. Then all of a sudden this silver one with a middle-aged woman pulled up to the lane on my right (it was a double-laned left). So the three of us made the left and driving down the road as if we all came from a TL meet or something. But I'm still happy that my baby doesn't look stock (and soon to not feel like stock either).
Just don't think like that. Imagine how all the civic, accord and teg people must feel like if they all thaught that way. Its kinda like saying, damn i have this Viper rt/10 but the Mclaren that my neighbor has is faster. No matter what there will always people that will have a better looking car, a faster car, a more expensive car. But, your car is your car, what you do to it makes it unique. Enjoy it. Be happy that other people have your type of car. It must be a great car because everyone wants one. Would you rather be that guy in the Saturn coupe with rims and a park bench spoiler. Sure no one has his car, but that's cause they suck. What you are driving, I'm sure all the Teg, civic, and any other compact driver would love to be driving.

In fact, I saw some guy driving a super clean white 2001 TL on 69 Parkway at the 119th St. exit. Those TL's sure look good when you take good care of em... and drive em faster than 10 MPH under the speed limit! Zzzzz...

I dont think its because they are selling at cuthroat prices because back when the 2nd gen TL first came out, all through 2000, most were selling at MSRP. Even then there seemed to be a lot of TLs.
So I just chalk the number of TLs due to the great value it provides.

ACURA dealers sold more 2000 models last year.
The TL is a hot seller for ACURA .
I remember one time at a redlight with my 94 Accord one night.
I looked around & 8 other cars were stoped with me all of us 1990 & up Accords.

If you don't want anyone else to drive the car you buy, I'd suggest buying a piece of crap! I haven't seen many Yugos around lately...
Yeah, it's a real problem that there are a lot of other people who also love this car!
