Too cold or CD changer is dying?
Too cold or CD changer is dying?
its a 2k2 TL-s 6 disk in dash changer...........Ok well now that winter is here any time i TRY and change CDs when i first start the car , i wind up getting an error message and all i can do is listen to the radio. after driving for a while then the CD changer decides to work you can hear it switching CDs and then it finally plays. is it too cold out or is the motor that changes disks burning out? any one had this problem before?
It happened to me a few times, also. When the car is warmed up a bit and interior temp is reasonably warm, it works fine. I think cold temp puts too much strain on the motor so wait a bit before turning CD player on.
actually I get that same message, and its usually because its jammed. Whenever it begins to act up just stick your finger in there, or something slim and it should work. It sounds weird but it works for me EVERYtime
