If you used Comptech springs, the camber should still be within factory specs. The camber on the TL is not adjustable, if yours is really out of specs, you might want to consider buying the camber adjustable kit from Comptech. As for toe in/out, they can adjust those even when the camber is out of specs.

Go to another alignment shop.

When you lower the car, not only does it go into negetive camber, but also Toe Out. If you only fix the Camber, you will still wear down the inner side of the tires if you left your car at Toe Out. Personlly, I would at least get you Toe alignment fixed, then worry about the camber correction kit.

I had Comptech springs installed;
Camber stayed within spec, but toe in/out was off.
Wait a couple of weeks after spring installation (settle in) before getting the toe adjusted.

Hey guys, I need some advice. I just got my toe in/out corrected from an alignment shop and it ended up with -.01 for my left wheel and .01 for my right wheel. This is within specs but shoudn't it be somewhat close to being the same? Should I go back and make him redo it?

Thanks for any advice!

If you go below 1.5 inches, then you need a camber kit.

I didn't realize that lowering the car changed the toe settings. :P

It only changes the camber settings. Get a camber kit and get an alignment.

RichWDP -- Chances are that your toe was already off before installing the springs. Lowering springs don't affect toe.

Other reputable brands for camber kits include: SPC and Ingalls.

Taking apart your suspension to install springs can knock some alignment specs off. Toe is especially one of them. Alot of people dont get an alignment, wear out the insides of their tires due to toe , and incorrectly blame camber.

A little reading on camber, toe, thrust, etc
