TL '99

My cousin commit to buy a TL he have choice of a 99' TLP SSM 130 000 KM or a 2000 TLP SSM 122 000 KM ????? so both car are in good shape and the 2000 is 500$ higher .... if we consider tranny failure is he better to buy the '99....

I would get the 99 just based on the tranny history. Put the $500 toward mods.

does he care for the .5 or so seconds the 1999 take over the 2000 to accelerate from 0 to 100kph ? does he care for the transmission, and for the gauge fonts (writing)? Also i think the 2000+ do better gaz mileage cuz of the 5th gear...

but if i were him id get the 1999... only cuz of the tranny problems.

i would get a 99, the 00 is a 5 spd auto and the 99 is a 4 spd auto. not that it makes a difference but thats what i would personally go for. Good Luck and keep us posted

Anywho I would get then 99, but thats because I have a 99 and am afraid of those tranny problems even though they do have them at times.

i would go with the 2000. less mileage. acura should cover the tranny until 100k i think.

do a carfax, see if the tranny has been replaced before.

2000 why not go with the newer one. I havent had any tranny probs. And its never been replaced. The service manager told me that at 150,000 miles theyll replace the tranny. No worries.
