Tl vs Type S parts...

Hello folks,

This is my first post to this forum. I found a 2002 TL type -S w/ Nav- blk/blk for a really good price.

My question to you all is this: I don't really care for the black wood trim and type-S headrests(I love everything else!)...are these parts easily swappable with those from a regular TL?

I appreciate your help!
Thanks.

The trim can be changed out. You can either put something over it or remove it and put something else there. The head rests im sure can be swapped. Although, i would suggest that you leave the black wood trim, it grows on you after a while. Then you actually really like it and dont want to change it.

The trim that is on either side of the center console is removable. The door panel pieces are not so easy to take off. They are held on with plastic rivets that must be melted or cut off. Problem is, if you screw it up, you cannot buy just the wood trim pieces. You have to buy the entire door skin. Putting them back is fun too. Have to glue them or figure a way to melt back the rivet.
