My father has a accord sedan...and i am driving the TL. But, now he's noticed how much better my car is than his, cause i payed some $ to get the TL instead of a Accord coupe...now, he's gonna sell his car, get me a new one, and take my TL. The TL is a MUCH MUCH BETTER CAR!!...it's almost a joke comparing the 2(personal belief)

Exactly. If you need to take your kids to soccer practice and what not, then buy an Accord (Family Sedan). If you want luxury, power and refinement, get the TL. I wouldn't even compare the two.

I guess if I was to take the kids to soccer practice and what not, I shouldn't drive my TL because is not a Family Sedan but a luxury Sedan. I guess I shouldn't compare TL vs TL-S because then I am comparing a luxury sedan with a sport sedan or sport luxury sedan. What's the common thing here? SEDAN.

A friend of mine has an Accord EX V6. He couldn't figure out why I dropped the extra money on a TL until he went for a ride in my car. If you have to ask what the difference is, either you haven't driven in the TL for long enough, or you shouldn't bother buying one because you couldn't appreciate the difference anyway.

I just took into consideration what I was going to use it for. I thought about it and I was going to be the one who was primarily going to drive the call all the time. I was going to be taking it on long drives to Los Angeles more often.
You just have to test drive the two. When I did, I could feel the difference right away. The things that helped me decide were the engine response and the sound system. Also, the TL will have a much higher resale value and a longer warranty period.
Consider this:
If you bought a big house in a crappy neigborhood, the value of that property would not be very much.
But if you bought a smaller house in a very nice neighborhood, that house would probably sell for more than the big house in the crappy neighborhood.
The TL is in a different class than the Accord. If you want a car just for transportation, get the Accord. But if you want a car that is nicer and that you will feel that your money is well spent, get the TL.
Its your money, you have a right to choose what you want to spend it on. But I know that as a TL owner, I really like to drive more often.

If you want the Navigation system (which I heartily recommend), go for the TL. The TL offers a lot of visible and not-so-visible refinements over the Accord EX V6....including the engine (which is larger, more powerful and torqier), the 5-speed Sportshift Automatic transmission vs the Accord's regular 4-speed transmission. The Accord's transmission can take upto a maximum of about 240 hp while the TL's transmission (shared with the 260hp CL-s) can take well over 350 hp, which says a lot for longevity....also the front and rear suspensions of the TL are mounted on isolating sub-frames that help in NVH, while the Accord does not have any sub-frame mounting....HID lights are present in the TL while the Accord does not have it...TL has larger brakes and larger anti-roll bars (suspension component)....things like speed-sensitive wipers, auto-dimming day/night mirror, heated seats and side mirrors, and various other differences that are too many to state in a quick post....the differences, as stated on a spec sheet are pretty minimal, I might add; but the details on a spec sheet does not make the car...
But if buying a TL (without Navigation), would stretch you out to the utmost, then I suggest that you save some money and spring for the Honda Accord EX V6, which is a lot of car for the money (but certainly not an Acura 3.2TL)....

Been down this road before...
The other way to ask this question is: "What's the same between the two cars?"
Answer: Nothing, except that they ride on the same platform. And even the platform is stretched before it becomes a TL.
All the rest is different: transmission, suspension, body, ammenities, engine. OK, the switches for the A/C and power windows are the same, but that's about it.
If ya just wanna save money, go get a Hyundai XG300. Best deal in a fully-loaded 6-cyl 4-door on the planet. If you want a great sedan w/o spending over $40K then get a TL.
